Delivery

The Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad recently took delivery of a refurbished Excellance Ambulance.  It features a new 2020 Freightliner M2 chassis with a Cummins 6.7 liter - 260 hp motor with an Allison EVS3000 automatic transmission.  The original box which was built in 2011 features new paint, all new door hinges, latches and mechanisms, a new HVAC system, new flooring, upholstry and patient box lighting.  Scene lighting on the box features Whelen Pioneer LED lights and there is a forward facing FireTech LED Light Bar.  New emergency warning equipment includes Whelen "M" series lights, a Whelen electronic siren and a Screaming Eagle bumper mounted mechanical siren.  This unit joins a fleet of two (2) other Excellance Ambulances.
